Yarr, mateys! We’ve been below deck for some time cookin’ up the next great adventure for all ye scallywags as we prepare to head out to sea in just a month from today for the launch of Season 1: The Iron Corsairs!
There’s an absolute ton of stuff that we’ve been putting together and we’re ready to spill the beans. Read on, adventurer!
Land? Airdrop? Wen?
You read that right — we’re preparing the most novel airdrop in web3 gaming history by creating a pool of drop assets that will include the first parcels of ultra-rare, extremely limited-supply land inside of Captain & Company, as well as a generous hoard of nuggies for all ye scallywags to fight over!
Instead of going with the industry-standard multi-million dollar land sale grab, we instead wanted to turn these crucial gameplay pieces directly over to our most engaged players, who we know will be the best custodians of their future value!
Who Qualifies? How Do We Earn?
All of ye! But some more than others, of course, because we love our captains. 👀
To join the airdrop campaign, navigate over to https://capnco.gg/doubloons where you’ll be greeted with a KAP login prompt securing your newly-available stash of Doubloons. Doubloons are your key to the airdrop & are the seasonal rewards points inside of the Captain & Company universe.
You earn Doubloons by:
Completing any Captain & Company quest on our partnered quest platforms
Referring your friends to join yer crew
Dominating your foes inside of the game & extracting nuggies!
Multiply Those Doubloons, Mateys!
But wait! There’s more! Your Doubloon earnings can be multiplied by up to hundreds of times if you:
Hold Captain & Company NFTs, with more-rare NFTs yielding higher results
Hold nuggies (by depositing $KAP) inside of your Captain & Company account
Actively play & avoid withdrawing your nuggies for extended periods of time
Specifically, holding more-rare NFTs inside of the Captain & Company universe, or stacking up your account with nuggies (by depositing $KAP, or by winning sea battles), and staying active without cashing out, all contribute to driving your Doubloon multiplier higher!
However, if you withdraw your nuggies too soon, Davy Jones will have a word with you about that multiplier of yours… it’ll be reduced proportional to the amount you’ve withdrawn!
And About the Rewards…
We’ve got big plans to show a piratey thank-ye to those of you that are sittin’ pretty at the top of the Doubloon leaderboards. Reward distribution will occur at the end of the season, and there are two principal categories of rewards:
Land, which will be extremely limited in supply & raffled by doubloon count
Nuggies, which will be distributed amongst all participants pro-rata
That means that just by participating in Season 1 via any of the methods above, you’ll be qualifying yerself for a nuggie airdrop at the end of the season as well as the super important chance to win that precious, precious land!
While more details about the land gameplay will be advertised later, it’s our intention to build Captain & Company into a vibrant, highly social multiplayer ecosystem inspired by some of the original greats like EVE Online, Puzzle Pirates, and ArcheAge, all held together by incredibly entertaining quickplay naval combat that you can play on any device with any of your friends!
Tutorial
If you’re all ready to set sail & start collectin’ those shiny Doubloons, make your way on over to the Doubloons page and log in using your KAP Games account. Your goal here is to race to collect as many Doubloons as possible, all while ramping up your multiplier to astronomical heights!
Note: You must connect your Arbitrum wallet to your KAP account on kap.gg in order to receive credit for the Captain & Company NFTs you’re holding.
Log in to your KAP Games profile on https://capnco.gg/doubloons.
Click “Join the Crew List” to get a referral code, then send it to yer pals.
Click “Complete Quests” to go to quests to start farming Doubloons.
Finish all yer quests daily for the maximum bonus!
Hold on to as many nuggies, NFTs, and doubloons as ye can get yer paws on, and watch yer multiplier skyrocket!

How do I make a KAP account?
Simply log in via your email or Discord on kap.gg or on the Doubloons user page listed above, and you’ll be good to go!
My Zealy quests aren’t giving me doubloons.
Doubloon counters currently refresh every 15 minutes. Additionally, you’ll need to ensure the email that you’re using on your kap.gg account is the same email that you have synced to your Zealy account. If you’re using Discord to log into kap.gg, then your Zealy email should match the one you have on your Discord account.
When will rewards be distributed?
At the end of the season, which will be when the countdown on the top of the page ends!
Why is my multiplier not going up?
Multipliers are recomputed at the end of each day. Check back in tomorrow!
Will there be a leaderboard?
Yes! We’ll put up a public leaderboard in the next few days.
Do Zealy quests completed before this event count?
No, only Zealy quests completed since the start of the event count for Doubloons.
How can I deposit KAP to increase my nuggie balance?

Make sure you join our Discord and claim your NFT roles! You’ll have access to private channels only shared with other Captains and the devs o’ the Goldcoves themselves. Plus, if you have 25 or more ships, there’s a set of channels rumored to be hidden to all except the greatest of Admirals… conquer on, pirate!
